Describe what the key and vehicle actually do
An ignition enquiry should distinguish a key that will not turn, a key that cannot be removed, a broken blade, and a vehicle that will not start even though the key turns. Avoid forcing a stuck or damaged key
Stop if ordinary use requires unusual force. Do not hammer a key into the cylinder or attempt to pull out a broken fragment with improvised tools. Mechanical symptoms and starting problems
The mechanical lock and the vehicle's electrical starting systems are different parts of the overall arrangement. A key that turns without starting the engine does not, by itself, prove that the ignition switch needs replacement. Explain any dashboard message, intermittent behaviour, or recent key damage so the enquiry does not begin with an unsupported diagnosis.
Ask about repair scope before making arrangements
Ask what needs to be assessed, whether the proposed option is repair or replacement, and what remains conditional on inspection. Compatibility, parts availability and any effect on existing keys need confirmation for your vehicle. Do not assume that every cylinder can be rebuilt, that your old keys will remain suitable, or that work can always be completed at the parking location.
