What to do while you wait

1. Move to a safe spot. If you're roadside or in a parking lot, stand somewhere visible and well-lit.
2. Check every door and the trunk. Some vehicles only auto-lock the driver door. A passenger door or rear hatch may still be open.
3. Have your ID and ownership ready. We'll need to see government-issued ID and proof the car is yours (registration or insurance slip).
4. Stay near the vehicle. Our technician will need to identify you and access the car.
5. Don't try to force entry yourself. Hangers, screwdrivers, and slim-jims can damage modern wiring inside the door — and the repair will cost far more than our visit.

Mobile car unlock: $80-$130 flat in the GTA. If you need a new key cut on the spot (because the original is lost or broken), that's an additional $140-$480 depending on key type. We give you the full all-in price on the phone before we leave.
